The Pipeline

The Pipeline

This is the first build-in-public post from Skylab. Here's what exists, and what's coming.

What the Ultra pipeline is

Ultra is Skylab's internal operating system — a set of agents that run the business. Not a demo. Not a prototype. It's in production and it handles real work.

Six agents, all wired together:

  • Recon — researches prospects before a call
  • CRM — logs, scores, and moves deals through the pipeline
  • Scheduling — manages calendar and follow-up
  • Finance — tracks invoices, flags what's overdue
  • Marketing/content — drafts posts, repurposes content, reports on what's working
  • Proposal — turns a qualified discovery call into a brand-voiced proposal draft

Every agent follows the same pattern: it recommends, I approve, then it acts. Nothing goes to a client, gets published, or moves money without a human sign-off first. That's not a safety feature — it's the architecture.

92 tests green. Scheduled heartbeats running in production.

What's coming

I'm going to document this publicly as it runs — what works, what breaks, what I'd build differently. That includes:

  • How each agent was built and why it's wired the way it is
  • Real incidents (a GitHub outage and Copilot quota exhaustion already hit during the final build)
  • How the same patterns get installed for clients, and what changes when it's someone else's business

No polish. No highlight reel. If something goes sideways, that goes in too.

Why publish this at all

Because the gap between "AI can do this" and "AI is doing this in a real business" is still wide. Closing that gap — in public, with receipts — is more useful than another explainer post.

v1 is done. Now it runs. Follow along.
